Refund Policy

This policy sets out your cancellation rights and how refunds are calculated if you choose to cancel your cover4storage policy.

14-day cooling-off period

You have the right to cancel your policy within 14 days of the start date (or the date you receive your policy documents, if that is later) without giving a reason. This is your statutory cooling-off right.

If you cancel within the cooling-off period and no claim has been made, you will receive a full refund of the premium paid. If a claim has been made during the cooling-off period, no refund will be issued.

Cancellation after the cooling-off period

You may cancel your policy at any time after the 14-day cooling-off period. The following conditions apply:

• No claim must have been made or be pending during the current policy term
• A refund will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for the unexpired portion of the policy term
• An administration fee may be deducted from the refund — we will advise you of any fee at the time of your request
• Where the refund due is less than the administration fee, no refund will be issued

Policies with a claim

If a claim has been made or is in progress during the current policy period, no refund is payable on cancellation.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel your policy by giving you 14 days' notice in writing in circumstances including, but not limited to:

• Non-payment of premium
• Discovery of material misrepresentation or fraud
• A change in circumstances that makes the policy ineligible

If we cancel your policy, you will be entitled to a pro-rata refund for the unexpired portion of the term, unless the cancellation is the result of fraud or misrepresentation.

How refunds are processed

Refunds are returned to the original payment method used to purchase the policy. Please allow up to 10 working days for the refund to appear, depending on your payment provider.
